Not surprised that the ban has been suspended, I think it will be upheld eventually.

In the meantime, massive Chelsea spending spree in January?

I would think they'll try to get everyone they can.

so did anyone notice the black dude with the shades brushing his teeth in the front row while kalou was coming on yesterday?  in the seventies it was toothpicks, in the nineties it was pacifiers, now toothbrushes as the fashionable oral fixation for badasses?

It looks like JT is heading for a summit with Fabio Capello about his, er, performance away from home. Is it a Bridge too far for the England skipper? http://bit.ly/aWKabG

Don't worry, his new PR man is hard at work drafting the self-pitying statement.

As long as it's not Rooney.  Terry is such an idiot, but I am sooooo not surprised.

OK, I know it's already old news, but can I reiterate (from my comment in the Gerrard thread) how much I loved this dramedy. H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!!! It's like the reality tv version of Footballers Wives (not that I watch reality tv or have ever seen Footballers Wives, but I assume this is what it would be like.) I hope JT got a little choked up when Capello told he he wouldn't be captain of the national team anymore. That would be sweet. I saw on Phil McNulty's blog on the story that more than half of reader comments were removed due to "breaking House Rules." Brilliant.

Anyway, hoping Chelsea beat Arsenal tomorrow. Draw would be ok, but it's probably best for Chelsea to get 3 points. ABU, people. A. B. U.

Chelsea will be without Ashley Cole for around three months after the England defender fractured his left ankle in Wednesday's 2-1 defeat by Everton.

The 29-year-old left-back limped off in the second half after a challenge by Everton's Landon Donovan.
